Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: u2022 Strong organization skills, with exceptional attention to detail. [Required] u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. [Required] u2022 Effective oral and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff, including the ability to coordinate and spearhead meetings and serve as a speaker with good presentation skills. [Required] u2022 Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to create Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. [Required] u2022 Knowledgeable in the use of electronic patient medical records. [Required] u2022 Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals. [Required] u2022 Interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective leadership for supervisory, technical, and support personnel, and to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with various departments. [Required] u2022 In-depth understanding of laboratory operations, medical testing procedures, and administration. [Preferred] u2022 Knowledge of Cerner/EPIC systems. [Preferred] Education: u2022 Bachelor's [Required] u2022 Master's [Preferred] Field of Study: u2022 Bachelor's in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution or bachelor's degree equivalency with 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses; or 24 semester hours of science courses that include: 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology; and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination; and have a laboratory training program that includes: completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES or the CAAHEP (this training may be included in the 6 semester hours listed above); or at least three months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs testing or successful completion of at least a 5-week official us military medical laboratory procedures training course and currently hold or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of medical laboratory specialist (laboratory technician); or qualified and served as high complexity testing personnel on or before April 24, 1995 in a CLIA-certified laboratory as of December 28, 224, and have done so continuously since December 28, 2024.
