PositionOverview The AdvancedEPLAN Designer is a key contributor within interdisciplinary project teamssupporting industrial logistics and automotive manufacturing environments. Thisrole is responsible for modifying and optimizing electrical hardware designsfor new and existing systems. Workingclosely with the Lead Hardware Engineer and/or Project Manager, the AdvancedEPLAN Designer ensures accurate, complete, and build-ready electricaldocumentation to support efficient manufacturing, installation, andcommissioning activities. Thisposition requires strong technical execution skills in EPLAN, experience withinautomotive standards, and the ability to improve engineering efficiency throughautomation tools such as macros, scripting, and add-ins. KeyResponsibilities + Develop complete electricaldrawing packages for equipment and machinery from concept through release,using both customer standards and internal templates + Design control systems utilizingEPLAN (primary) and electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics + Ensure hardware designcompleteness prior to release, minimizing debug and rework during buildand commissioning phases + Generate layouts, terminalplans, reports, labels, and supporting documentation + Create and maintain accurateBills of Materials (BOM), adhering to customer specifications anddocumenting approved deviations + Update existing electricaldrawings to reflect as-built/redline conditions and system modifications + Support installation,integration, and commissioning phases as needed + Collaborate effectively withProject Managers, Controls Engineers, and cross-functional teams tomaintain project flow and timelines + Develop and implement methods toimprove engineering efficiency (macros, templates, add-ins, processimprovements) RequiredKnowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience + Degree in ElectricalEngineering, Automation Engineering, similar degree from an accrediteduniversity or 5 years + of EPLAN experience in a related electrical field + Working knowledge of electricaldesign standards and safety codes + Proficiency with CAD softwarewith foundational knowledge of EPLAN + Experience with network designand installation requirements + Ability to adapt quickly todesign changes in a fast-paced project environment + Microsoft Office (Excel, Word,PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook) + Willingness to travelapproximately 10% to customer locations or job sites + Proficiency in English bothwritten and verbal WorkAuthorization: Qualified applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United Statesand must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
