Together, we pursue a shared mission to createa more sustainable future.Job Description A Senior Wastewater OperationsTraveling Technician(SWOT) will be trained to operate and maintainwastewater plants at several locations around the country. The purposeof the position is to assist with new account startups, temporaryoperations, and to cover our existing facilities while local operatorsare out on PTO/sick time. The SWOT will be responsible for the overalloperation and maintenance of the wastewater plants they visit, includingprocess changes to meet compliance, troubleshooting processes &equipment, operational management, maintenance (routine, reactive, andpreventive), process & compliance sampling, laboratory testing, andwriting and distributing a daily shift report. In addition, the SeniorWastewater Operations Traveling Technicians will assist with the startupof new wastewater operating contracts until full-time local operatorsare hired The SWOT will be responsible for training the newly hiredoperator(s). The SWOT will communicate with the client and withVeolia's Account Manager regarding the operation during their time atthe facility. The SWOT will be required to travel and be away from homefor extended periods of time - this can range from 1-2 weeks at a time,all the way up to 1 or more months for certain projects. Operate andmaintain wastewater plants to comply with the requirements of thedischarge permit, and each clients' expectations/requirements. Provide direction and support (as needed) to the operators on the othershifts, including the delegation of tasks based on the skills andabilities of the other operators. Conduct lab analysis of the wastestreams at various points in the process to verify treatment and to makeprocess changes. Communicate frequently with the Account Managerregarding the operation of the WWTP and request assistance as needed forthe site. Coordinate your own travel plans to and from the assignedfacility.
