JOB REQUIREMENTS: Lead Assembler Waukesha, WI Pay : $26.95 per hour26-02873 Job Summary The Lead Assembler I is responsible for assemblingand fabricating transformer components, including welding aluminum andcopper materials and connecting leads on primary and secondary coils.This role involves working with electrical components, interpretingtechnical drawings, and ensuring proper positioning and clearances forfinal assembly. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude,attention to detail, and the ability to perform both assembly and minorrepair tasks in a manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities Weldaluminum and copper components using MIG and TIG welding techniquesPosition and shape leads to ensure proper clearances within transformertanks Assemble and connect primary and secondary leads, coils, andaccessories Install dual voltage switches, tap changers, and relatedcomponents Measure, cut, strip, insulate, and crimp leads and terminalsto specifications Fit and fabricate braces for leads, including layoutand cutting Perform minor coil repairs and fabrication rework asrequired Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics Operateforklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently Ensure allassemblies meet quality and engineering specifications Maintain a cleanand safe work environment Job Requirements High school diploma orequivalent Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsExperience with MIG and TIG welding techniques Strong mechanical andtechnical aptitude Ability to perform precise measurements andfabrication tasks Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes orwillingness to be trained Ability to work in a manufacturing environmentand follow safety protocols Must be legally authorized to work withoutsponsorship Education High school diploma or GED required Technicaldiploma in welding or related field preferred Work Experience Previousexperience in electrical assembly or welding preferred Experienceworking with AC/DC systems is a plus #ZR We are committed to providingequal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants withoutregard to race, religion, color sex, national origin, citizenshipstatus, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status,uniform service member status, genetic information, disability, or anyother protected status, in accordance with all applicable federal,state, and local laws.
