As the Launcher Chief Engineer for THAAD, you will: u2022 Support the THAAD Chief Engineer with primary delegated responsibility for the THAAD Launcher u2022 Act as the main technical authority and liaison to program leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders for THAAD Launcher supporting all life cycle phases of the program to include development, production, and post production. u2022 Drive timely and effective resolution of critical development issues by developing action plans, setting priorities, and briefing executive and external leadership on status, recommendations, and risks u2022 Evaluate and approve technical baselines to enforce development of executable, affordable and technically sound proposals To promote the sharing of ideas, Lockheed Martin cultivates a work environment that inspires differences and big-picture thinking. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelors degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience u2022 Experience in Aerospace and/or Defense Industry u2022 Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully both written and verbally across all levels of an organization from entry level to executive Vice Presidents u2022 Demonstrated history of engineering excellence and technical leadership u2022 U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Experience with troubleshooting test failures u2022 Experience and familiarity with a variety of engineering disciplines u2022 Experience working with and directing suppliers u2022 Prior experience with the THAAD program or similar missile programs u2022 Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and build effective relationships u2022 Strong Mentoring skills as evidenced through active mentoring relationships u2022 Proven experience as a conceptual thinker with the ability to translate into action and results. u2022 Active or Current Secret clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
