Summary Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat The Elevator Support Unit (ESU) is currently looking for a logistics support representative that will support by ensuring the availability of necessary parts, tools, test equipment, and documentation for the maintenance, repair, and deployment of elevator systems, including tracking parts through systems like the Navy Supply and IHS Haystack Gold. This is a full-time position, located in Chesapeake, VA. What You Will Do + Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. + Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. + Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. + Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product. + Research tech manuals and drawings to identify parts required to purchase. + Managed comprehensive supply chain operations, including processing requests and transactions via the Navy Supply system, tracking and researching orders through NAVSUP OneTouch Support, and conducting detailed parts research and procurement with IHS Haystack Gold. + Maintained inventory and transaction records using Microsoft Access and Excel, while effectively communicating with internal teams and external suppliers on all supply chain matters. What You Must Have + High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience. + Must have knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Must have knowledge of Navy Supply system. + Must have practical understanding of electrical and mechanical operations specific to our equipment. + Ability to learn ESU Access database supply program, NAVSUP Onetouch Support program, and IHS Haystack Gold program. + Ability to follow verbal and written procedures. + Must be able to read a tech manual/drawings. Bonus Points For + A current, active DoD Confidential Security Clearance or higher. + Previous or current troubleshooting and maintenance experience with Weapons Elevators parts, Aircraft Elevators parts, and Vertical Package Conveyor parts. + Previous experience communicating with employees, customers, and vendors on a daily basis. Physical Requirements Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders.
