Direct Indirect Material Coordinator

Responsibilities: Develop and manage the flow of inboundmaterials ensuring raw material forecasts align with productionrequirements. Maintain pricing, deliveries, and inventory data. Compilerecords of items purchased or transferred between plants. Place purchaseorders/requisitions for all direct and indirect materials for plantoperations. Monitor open purchase orders to ensure timely receipt andcompletion. Track and expedite orders and investigate order problems asrequired. Notify management when orders are anticipated to be delayed orincomplete. Complete required documentation for the addition of newvendors for submission to Corporate Procurement. Establish appropriateinventory levels of direct/indirect material based on demand, re-supplyor delivery lead time, storage capacities, cost of stock, and any otherapplicable factors. In conjunction with Finance, execute monthly andannual physical inventories. Manage Costs - Identify opportunities toimprove processes and reduce costs related to raw and indirectmaterials. Support an optimized production environment by applying theprinciples of Lean Manufacturing and 5S. Participate in specialprojects. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business related area or equivalent required.Minimum 2-3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturingenvironment. Experience in pulling data and report creation in an ERPcomputer system preferred. Proficient in MS Office: Proficiency in WordProficiency in PowerPoint Advanced Excel skills required Polished andflexible oral and written communication skills required.
