The Company Police Officer is a sworn law enforcement professional commissioned under North Carolina General Statutes (Chapter 74E). This position is responsible for protecting life and property, enforcing state laws and local ordinances, and maintaining a safe and secure environment on assigned properties. Officers are expected to operate with a high level of independence and professionalism, frequently working solo assignments without immediate backup while making critical decisions in dynamic situations. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned. u2022 Enforce all applicable North Carolina laws, local ordinances, and client policies u2022 Conduct proactive patrols on foot and in vehicles to deter and detect criminal activity u2022 Respond to calls for service including alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, and medical emergencies u2022 Operate as a single-officer unit while maintaining officer safety and situational awareness u2022 Conduct preliminary and follow-up investigations u2022 Make lawful arrests and issue citations in accordance with state law u2022 Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and documentation u2022 Provide traffic control and enforce parking regulations as needed u2022 Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary u2022 Testify in court and administrative proceedings u2022 Provide professional customer service to clients, employees, and the public u2022 Enforce company policies and maintain compliance with regulatory standards u2022 Maintain all assigned equipment and ensure operational readiness ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role. Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required: u2022 Must possess one or more of the following: o Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field with a minimum of 1-2 years of law enforcement experience o High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2-3 years of sworn law enforcement experience u2022 Successfully completed Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) or eligible for certification in North Carolina u2022 Must meet certification standards established by the NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission u2022 Valid North Carolina driver's license u2022 No felony convictions; must demonstrate good moral character Type and Length of Specific Experience Required: u2022 Minimum of 1-3 years of sworn law enforcement experience preferred u2022 Experience working independently with minimal supervision u2022 Proven ability to handle calls for service, enforcement actions, and investigations without immediate backup Knowledge and Skills Required: u2022 Strong knowledge of North Carolina laws and law enforcement procedures u2022 Effective report writing and documentation skills u2022 Excellent communication, decision-making, and de-escalation abilities OTHER RELATED ATTRIBUTES THAT WOULD ENHANCE HIRING CONSIDERATION: u2022 Prior Company Police, military police, or private law enforcement experience u2022 Experience in solo patrol or remote assignments PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT: u2022 Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions u2022 Major activities include walking, standing, observing, speaking, and responding to emergencies u2022 Physical effort includes standing, walking, running, bending, kneeling, and carrying up to 30 pounds of equipment u2022 Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law u2022 Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Allied Universalu00ae is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
