Summary The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports the Nurse Manager (NM) with the supervisory duties and responsibility and accountability for the 24/7 operation of their designated units. They provide coverage for other Assistant Nurse Managers as needed. This ANM position is located on CLC-A which is the Hospice/Palliative Care Unit at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for the supervision of orientation, training, and development of staff. Provides input in the evaluation of individual staff performance. Functions as a role model, educator practitioner and supervisor providing leadership to the team. Contributes to the development of care delivery models and environmental design ensuring evidence based accessible and equitable patient care. Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. Maintains knowledge and ensures compliance with directives, polices and standard operation procedures (SOP). Participates in strategic planning and execution. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the plan of care is achieved. Demonstrates knowledge over a wide range of responsibilities. Effectively communicates ideas to promote team success.
