In this role, youu2019ll have the opportunity to use your vast experience in the industry and apply it to solving todayu2019s challenges. As part of our team, youu2019ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clientsu2019 challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design.Youu2019ll deliver multiple projects simultaneously across a wide range of electrical engineering capabilities, including power system planning, power distribution, lighting design, vertical transportation, and construction coordination.As a Senior Electrical Engineer, youu2019ll lead design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls, prepare load analysis for different stages of design, oversee the preparation of drawings detailing system design, prepare basis of design reports, prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms, design grounding and lightning protection, design redundant electrical systems, mitigate hazardous area concerns, select equipment and fixtures for use in the building, coordinate design with engineers and architects of other disciplines, and facilitate construction administration.This position typically includes limited travel commitments in support of project designs to visit with clients and develop an understanding of their needs as part of a broader design team. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Professional Engineer (P.E.) license United States Citizenship Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a corporate or consulting environment in an electrical engineering capacity Familiarity with ICC & NEC Building Codes Experience working on industrial buildings, data centers, power, UPS systems, and generator systems Exposure to medium voltage (and high voltage) system design [KB2.1]Basic Skills in Revit and 3D CADD Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop future engineers Strong technical focus in industrial engineering applications Willingness to take independent initiative, demonstrate creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, and dedication to teamworkIdeally, youu2019ll also have: Experience supporting sales pursuits and early phase concept development Exposure to mission critical concepts for healthcare, datacenters, industrial and/or transportation Past performance in quality control review roles An appreciation for travel in support of projects and sales pursuits (scalable to your life).#LI-KS7Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
