This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: Purpose: The daily operations of the movement of merchandisethrough the department within specified productivity, cost, and qualitystandards. The safe operation of metal cutting, shipping, and receivingby performing the following duties. Works under minimal supervision ofthe General Manager.Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may beassigned.1. Receives, stock, pulls and ships parts via numerous carriers.2. Resolves problems with shipping and receiving of parts.3. Reviews and orders shipping and receiving supplies.4. Solves problems with tracking, receiving, and data processing by contacting the Couriers.5. Compiles information for accurate cycle counts, inventory and generate reports.6. Keep stock shelves clean and orderly.7. Identifies that the part number, serial number, and quantity agree with the supplied list and purchase order and makes sure that all match as per order.8. Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, and materials for conformance to specifications. Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit.9. Identifies, quarantines, and documents non-conforming purchased materials or components in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes as required.10. Interfaces with Sales/Purchasing to resolve parts certification issues.11. Load, operate and unload metal cutting machines. Ensure preventative maintenance and safe operations of metal cutting equipment.12. Operates forklift as required.Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully,individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,skill, competency, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodationsmay be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform theessential functions.High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to fiveyears previous experience; one to three years experience withdistribution, forklift operation, metal cutting/shear experience andmeasurement tools preferred; or equivalent combination of training andexperience.Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying,and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, commonfractions, and decimals.Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicateverbally in one-on-one and group situations with management, co-workers,employees, and customers, including the ability to give instructions;the ability to speak clearly, effectively, and professionally inpositive or negative situations; listen to others without interruptingand gets clarification; and responds well to questions.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret simple and complex instructions,work orders, and technical procedures. Ability to read and understandinstructions and specifications of orders. Ability to read andunderstand blueprints and inspection procedures. Ability to compose andedit basic correspondence and procedures. Writes clearly andinformatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructionsfurnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal withproblems involving several concrete variables in standardizedsituations. Ability to reason complex problems. Ability to performrepetitive mental and physical activities.To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able tooperate the software and equipment used in the department, including butnot limited to the computer software programs and shipping equipment.
