Job Title: Assembly Associate Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Associate with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in production or labor, particularly in manufacturing, and possess basic math skills. This role involves operating assembly and grinding equipment for magnetic materials and ensuring product specifications are met. Responsibilities + Help run and operate assembly and grinding equipment for magnetic material. + Inspect finished products to ensure specifications for a particular operation are met. + Read and understand basic manufacturing instructions, similar to blueprints. + Follow all safety, quality, and departmental procedures. + Assist with the installation of grinding wheels/spindles as needed. + Pack and stamp or otherwise mark finished goods. + Perform other duties as required. Essential Skills + Mechanical aptitude + Production or labor experience, manufacturing is a plus + Basic math knowledge + Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to use small hand tools + Experience with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers + General understanding of mechanical operations + Quality inspection skills Why Work Here? There is ample room for career growth Work Environment The work environment includes a team of 25+ employees on the 1st shift and 15+ on the 2nd shift. The dress code is comfortable industrial clothing: jeans, t-shirt or long sleeve shirt, with steel toe footwear being a must. The 1st shift operates from 6AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saugerties, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
