Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Midland, Virginia. This is a contract-to-permanent position that requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to process financial transactions accurately. The role is entirely in-office and offers a great opportunity to contribute to accounting operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process accounts payable invoices promptly and ensure accurate coding. u2022 Perform data entry tasks with a focus on numeric accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Conduct check runs and verify payment details to ensure compliance. u2022 Assist with invoice processing and resolve discrepancies as needed. u2022 Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data. u2022 Provide support for various accounting tasks to maintain smooth operations. u2022 Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of accounting functions. u2022 Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes. u2022 Adhere to company policies and procedures in all financial processes. Requirements u2022 Experience in accounts payable and invoice processing. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Strong attention to detail, particularly in numeric data entry. u2022 Familiarity with Sage 100 or similar accounting software is preferred. u2022 Ability to handle check runs and ensure payment accuracy. u2022 Excellent organizational and time-management skills. u2022 Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach. u2022 Effective communication skills for team collaboration.
