Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This Contract to permanent opportunity offers an excellent chance to bring your expertise in managing high-volume invoicing and supporting accounting functions to a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and code invoices accurately to ensure correct account allocation. u2022 Reconcile monthly accounts payable reports in collaboration with the Staff Accountant. u2022 Manage high-volume invoicing with precision and efficiency. u2022 Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and other payment methods. u2022 Utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and other accounting software systems to maintain records and perform transactions. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during accounts payable processes. u2022 Provide support for month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. u2022 Identify and resolve discrepancies in invoices or payment records. u2022 Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address payment inquiries. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable operations within a manufacturing or similar industry. u2022 Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and other accounting software systems. u2022 Strong knowledge of account coding and accounting functions. u2022 Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including functions and formulas. u2022 Ability to handle high-volume invoicing efficiently. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. u2022 Strong communication skills to interact with team members and external partners.
