Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant/Senior Financial Analyst to join our clients team in Sterling Heights, Michigan. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, excels in managing financial processes, and ensures accuracy in reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the general ledger and driving month-end close activities. u00b7 Support month-end close process and reporting requirements. o Participate in the Business Unit financial performance results regarding variance analysis to forecast, budget, and prior year. o Support month-end reporting of standardized financial statements and KPIu2019s. o Develop and improve upon reporting processes and assist in KPI preparation and analysis. o Support Board presentation development and ad hoc support. u00b7 Support forecast and annual budget processes. o Forecast support of Corporate and SG& A-related costs, including direct support of IT team. o Overall support of Business Unit deliverables and consolidation of information and analytics. o Analyze performance indicators, financial results, variance analysis. o Support annual budget process, including coordination of deliverables with Business Unit finance team members, corporate costs. o Development of Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, cost center budgets, capital expenditures, and bridge analysis. u00b7 Support accounting, budgeting/forecasting, and reporting for corporate functions. o Direct support of IT-related financials, including operating expenses and capital expenditures. o Analyze and interpret actual variances to budget and prior year. o Focus on development of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow. o Participate in the financial performance results with budget vs actual variances. o Improve financial status by identifying and analyzing trends, recommended actions. o Analyze financial reports and translate them into concise summaries for management. u00b7 Support continued development of financial applications, including ERPu2019s and OneStream. o Systems support and development to gain efficiencies with ERP and OneStream systems, including data integration. o Development of standardized reports for Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, including financial KPIu2019s. o Assist Business Units with development of non-financial statistical accounts. u00b7 Business case development, long-term planning, and ad hoc reporting as required. o Assist with long-term financial modeling and planning. o Work on business cases and ad hoc projects as required, including strategic assessments and recommendations. Requirements u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance. u00b7 Master's Degree and/or Certification (CPA, CMA, CFM). u00b7 5-7 yearsu2019 experience with accounting and finance in the manufacturing industry (preferred) u00b7 Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) u00b7 Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). u00b7 Familiarity with accounting-related software and applications (NetSuite, OneStream, etc.). u00b7 Demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. u00b7 Advanced proficiency with higher-level Excel formulas and functions (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint. u00b7 Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills (i.e., for presentations, meeting facilitation, etc.).
