Job Title: Foreman Job Description This position requires working strictly in the field, combining the roles of a fabricator and a millwright. The foreman will be responsible for assembling and building various steel structures such as catwalks, mezzanines, stairs, and handrails. Responsibilities + Drill in bolts and perform stick and arc welding. + Occasionally use fluxcore welding and epoxy anchoring. + Work with rebar and anchor bolts into concrete. + Bolt together and install structural steel, pipe supports, and brackets. + Help assemble handrails, catwalks, and small concrete steel scopes. + Assist in on-site welding when required. + Set conveyors and build structures like catwalks, columns, handrails, stairs, mezzanines, and bridges. + Facilitate the installation of columns, decking, handrails, and ladders for additional building support. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in welding on industrial/commercial construction projects in the field. + Comfortable working at heights and able to lift 50+ lbs. + Experience with steel, iron work, structural steel, and related tasks. + 3-5 years of experience in a leadership position or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications + D1.1 welding certification. + NCCER rigging certification. + Scissor Lift certification. + OSHA 10 certification is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work starts at 6am or 5am, depending on the job site, with a 40-50 hour work week, typically 45-50 hours. Saturdays are occasionally required, approximately once a month. Crews consist of 3 people working in unoccupied warehouses and commercial buildings, with a focus on new commercial construction. Travel is required around Arizona, with per diem, hotel, and partial travel expenses covered. Employees provide their own hood and hand tools, while power tools are supplied by the company. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
