This role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing metal components and piping systems for industrial and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities + Fabricate and assemble metal structures, piping systems, and components + Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and fabrication sketches + Perform highu2011quality welding (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, or GMAW depending on project needs) + Fit, cut, bevel, and prepare pipe and structural materials + Assist with installation of piping systems, supports, and equipment + Operate fabrication tools such as saws, grinders, torches, and layout equipment + Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications + Follow all safety procedures, including hotu2011work and confinedu2011space protocols + Collaborate with welders, pipefitters, and project supervisors ? Required Qualifications + Proven experience as a fabricator in industrial or commercial environments + Strong pipefitting skills, including layout, measurement, and installation + Proficiency in welding (certifications preferred but not required) + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans + Experience using fabrication tools and shop equipment + Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in various environments + Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety u2b50 Preferred Skills + Boiler or pressureu2011vessel experience + Rigging or craneu2011signal experience + Ability to work with stainless steel, carbon steel, or alloy materials + Familiarity with industrial plant, refinery, or poweru2011generation environments + Ability to mentor apprentices or assist with training Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tuscaloosa, AL.
