The Volunteer Group Specialist is responsible for leading volunteer groups in the field to support Volunteers of America Colorado programming. This role ensures volunteer groups feel welcome, supported, and have a good service project experience, while acclimating groups to the work our organization does. This position will also be responsible for the management of our Yard Angels and Snow Buddies program and requires consistent communication with both clients, volunteers, donors, and program staff. This role will require facilitating outdoor yard projects with group volunteers, as well public speaking with groups and client calls. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities u00b7 Coordinates with Volunteer Program Manager and Community Engagement Specialist to lead volunteer groups in the field, ensuring a pleasant volunteer experience. u00b7 Works with corporate volunteer groups to coordinate donation pickups and cultivate donors. u00b7 Vets and works with clients for Yard Angels and Snow Buddies programs, working with the Volunteer Program Manager to schedule groups to serve clients. u00b7 Provides accurate information, assistance, and problem resolution for volunteer groups. u00b7 Maintain regular communication and follow-ups with active and prospective volunteer groups to ensure engagement and continuity. u00b7 Communicate VOA Coloradou2019s mission, expectations, and operational concepts to volunteers and stakeholders. u00b7 Collaborate and maintain proactive communication with Volunteer Service Team and Program staff on volunteer group events. u00b7 Maintain accurate, timely, and complete volunteer group records in Salesforce, including but not limited to volunteer hours and service activities. u00b7 Coordinate with Volunteer Program Manager to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity. u00b7 Compile and track metrics including but not limited to: o Number of Volunteers o Volunteer Hours o Clients Served o Other program performance indicators u00b7 Support logging, documentation, and tracking systems used by the Volunteer Services. u00b7 Ensure volunteer compliance with agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. u00b7 Participate in VOA Colorado events and community outreach, including but not limited to fairs, organizational and partner events, and pop-ups to support volunteer recruitment and visibility. u00b7 Perform other duties as assigned by Volunteer Program Manager and Advancement Team. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements u00b7 Must be able to lift/move up to 35 lbs and facilitate outdoor yard projects with volunteer groups in seasonal weather. u00b7 Travel to and from event locations, service sites, and other locations required. u00b7 Required standing, walking, and reaching, for extended periods of time. u00b7 The employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, and equipment. u00b7 The noise level is usually moderate to high. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work u00b7 Part-time 24 hours, Tuesday u2013 Thursday 9 AM u2013 5 PM u00b7 May need to attend meetings on Mondays and will flex schedule accordingly. Requirements Minimum Qualifications of Position u00b7 Experience working with or supporting volunteers or customer-facing roles u00b7 Must own transportation, valid Colorado driveru2019s license and state-mandated automobile insurance u00b7 Ability to adapt to a fast-paced operational environment u00b7 Compassionate nature and ability to maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders u00b7 High school diploma Preferred Qualifications of Position u00b7 Ability to work independently, exercise good judgement, and participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. u00b7 Experience and/or comfort working with landscaping, grounds maintenance, or proficient in outdoor power equipment. u00b7 Comfort and experience navigating CRM systems.
