OVERVIEW: The Controls Lead System Specialist (LSS) serves as the on-site project leader responsible for planning, executing, and completing control systems projects with assigned customers in a safe and cost-effective manner. This pivotal role encompasses overseeing the entire project lifecycle from system programming to installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout. The LSS is accountable for the overall financial outcomes of assigned projects, including managing costs such as labor and materials, while maintaining high customer satisfaction and profitable results. They proactively seek additional work through change orders and ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements, upholding the highest ethical standards. Key RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Leadership & Execution + On-Site Leadership: Act as the primary project leader to plan and execute control systems projects. + Full Lifecycle Management: Perform or delegate tasks including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and project closeout. + Resource Coordination: Develop project plans and coordinate technical resources to ensure timely, cost-effective completion. + Commissioning: Oversee the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers. + System Validation: Validate complete system functionality and resolve issues with subcontractors to ensure proper operation. + Documentation: Provide accurate project
