Location:Flagship/ HybridOverviewThe Digital Content Associate plays a critical role in advancing the organizations communications and development goals by creating, managing, and optimizing digital content across platforms. This role is responsible for producing engaging social media content, maintaining website and email communications, and capturing photo and video assets that bring the organizations work to life. The Associate plays a key role in identifying and elevating impactful stories that demonstrate outcomes and inspire donor engagement and giving. Through thoughtful content creation, performance tracking, and campaign execution, this position helps strengthen brand presence, deepen audience engagement, and advance the organizations mission.Key Role Responsibilities- Develop and produce engaging content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook), aligned with the development teams strategic priorities and the organizations brand voice- Manage day-to-day social media engagement, including monitoring comments, messages, and mentions, and responding in a timely and thoughtful manner- Capture high-quality photo and video content to support storytelling, campaigns, and volunteer engagement- Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency- Track and analyze performance metrics across social media and website channels; prepare monthly reports with actionable insights- Lay out and format digital newsletters, ensuring clear, compelling, and visually cohesive communications- Support the execution of integrated communications campaigns, from planning through deployment- Identify and elevate stories that highlight the impact of the Villages work and inspire meaningful donor engagement and giving- Create collateral for events and fundraisers, including digital and print materials- Draft a range of written content, including social posts, web copy, email communications, and promotional materialsKey Organizational ResponsibilitiesIn addition to role responsibilities, every staff member has the following responsibilities as a part of their employment:- Models and reinforces the mission, vision and values of the Village: - Treats everyone with dignity and respect, including colleagues, clients, and vendors - Nurtures our community, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and mutual growth - Is open, honest, and constructive - Moves forward together and takes action together- Completes assigned trainings as required by N Street Village and in accordance with grant contractual requirements- Protects clients personal health information by maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other relevant health care-related IT security regulations- Responsibly manages resources, ensuring they are used with integrity, transparency, and care to maximize impact.- Demonstrates commitment to maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality, recognizing the importance of reliability in supporting the organizations mission and operations.- Performs other duties as assigned on an as-needed basisKnowledge, Experience and Skills- Bachelors degree in communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent experience.- 1-3 years of experience in digital communications, content creation, or social media management, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.- Experience managing social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)- Proven storyteller, with the ability to translate impact into clear, compelling content- Strong design and writing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and visual appeal for different audiences and platforms- Basic photography and video capture/editing skills (iPhone-level is fine); ability to edit video is a plus- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar) and ema l platforms (e.g., Campaign Monitor)- Comfort working with creative design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar tools)- Interest in using data to inform decisions; familiarity with analytics tools is a plus- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines- Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently- Commitment to the organizations missionWorking Conditions and Physical RequirementsThis hybrid role is based at NSVs Flagship location and includes a mix of in-office and remote work, with occasional travel for donor meetings and events.
