Building upon your experiences as an Associate Designer, you now take on a substantial leadership role in driving the success of our commercial kitchen design projects. Your deep expertise and contributions to the creation of draft layouts, production drawings, and presentation materials, coupled with your extensive experience in client engagement, are invaluable assets to our team's growth and our projects' outcomes.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Interact with customers to identify commercial foodservice equipment needs and promote the benefits of Trimark's various design servicesPerform site visits to survey existing conditions, gather project information, or identify equipment needsDetermine size, scope, and budget of a project through effective communication with customers. Offer equipment recommendations based on industry knowledgeWork independently to create commercial foodservice equipment designs that utilize available floor space and meet the customer's operational and budgetary requirementsMust be able to utilize AutoCad and/or Revit to coordinate with design team membersMust have sound technical understanding of plumbing and electrical systems and be able to identify and locate utility services and building conditions required for proper installation of foodservice equipmentProduce construction document sets and collaborate with architects and engineers for integration of foodservice equipment designs and utility rough-in drawings into overall projectProduce foodservice equipment elevations and incorporate appropriate construction detailsMust be able to proactively communicate and manage lead times. It is essential that project needs are met timelyMust be able to identify and produce complete scope of work for project, u00a0including trade responsibilities, installation requirements, and manufacture specifications with selected accessoriesEffectively communicate with foodservice equipment manufacturers to drive the development of shop drawings for custom or modified equipment related to a designPrepare itemized foodservice equipment budgetsReview and approve submittal packages provided by kitchen equipment contractor to ensure adherence to design intentBe an industry leader in advancing the latest design technology and industry innovationsRespond to requests for information (RFI's timelyConduct site visits and generate a punch list during project installationConduct oneself in a professional manner that fosters positive relations with customers, vendors, and internal company personnelGrow design revenue annuallyParticipate in department meetings and vendor training sessionsCOMPETENCIES:Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement in all aspects of positionAbility to create effective commercial designs operating within loose or limited sets of constraintsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work with minimal supervision and as part of a teamStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenFlexible in schedule to enable the company to meet customer needs - overtime and weekends may be necessary and requiredFoster positive relations and communications with departmental personnel, IT, Purchasing, Installers, Sales, Marketing, and other TriMark Division design/contract management departmentsStrong relationship building skills with customers, general contractors, architects, manufacturers and vendors, and other trades on job sitesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent customer service attitudeCritical thinking and problem solvingExcellent presentation and selling skillsAbility to read architectural drawingsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related discipline10+ years' experience designing in the foodservice industryProficient in AutoCAD and RevitMust complete CFSP Test within first 3 years of employmentExperienced in various market segments of designExtensive knowledge of BIM practices, standards and techniquesIntermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office products & AutoQuotesBasic working knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing#PMIndeedThe range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location.
