Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Operate heavy equipment for the purpose of performing maintenance related activities, including but not limited to Backhoes, Front end loaders, Dump trucks, Hot mix pavers, Motor graders, and Track hoes. + Perform duties as directed, such as shoveling asphalt, digging footings for setting concrete forms, placing traffic control devices, delivering, loading and unloading materials and/or equipment, flagging traffic, paving operations, milling, placing large culverts, operating power and/or hand tools, etc. + Perform incidental repair and construction tasks such as installation of guardrail, fencing, pipe, catch basins, and drainage structures. + Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance in accordance with operatoru2019s manual and manufacture recommendations to keep equipment operating efficiently and safely. + Shall be responsible to respond to call-outs after normal working hours, in all types of weather conditions, such as removing falling trees from the roadway, applying deicing materials, responding to traffic accidents, and draining water from the roadway.
