About the Role: As a CBRE Plumber, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical and distribution systems throughout a facility. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What Youu2019ll Do: + Maintenance Work: Pipe fitter/Welder will support PR&D customers utilizing journeyman pipe fitting welding skills. Must demonstrate ability to install and maintain house, process and utility plumbing and piping systems, to include vacuum, air, steam, helium, caustic, acetone, nitrogen, chilled water, portable water, purified water, glycol, sanitary piping and waste systems. Will be required to trouble shoot and analysis piping and mechanical failures and make appropriate repairs to minimize downtime. Required to provide suggestions and recommendations to improve existing processes and operations. Required to make modifications and new installations of piping to include plastic, carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, cast iron and glass. Must read blueprints and have knowledge of all state and local codes. Ability to work in a multi-craft atmosphere, assist other crafts as needed basis. + Preventive Maintenance: Pipe fitter will be required to apply their skills to accomplish preventive maintenance on a variety of house, process, and utility equipment systems, to include vacuum, steam, glycol, water, pressure, air, waste and mechanical systems. This equipment includes, sanitary check valves, regulators, gauges, steam traps, drains, piping, valves and tanks. + Safety: Requires that all work be in a safe manner within all local and corporate safety procedures and practices. Responsible for maintaining their safety training compliance to include classroom and CBT (computer based training) as required by OSHA as well as corporate safety procedures. Attend departmental safety meetings. + Quality/Environmental Compliance: Complete all regulatory training prior to conducting work. Perform all work activities utilizing the appropriate procedures to include GMP/GLP, organizations, department or local requirements. Perform all work utilizing the appropriate environmental regulations and policies. Complete appropriate documentation associated with maintenance activities. Manage individual ITP to ensure compliance. Attend appropriate training to include technical and regulatory. May be required to attend some offsite technical training for development of job skills + Administrative: Utilize GMARS, My Workplace data systems to input time, enter work order closing notes for unavailable hours, access e-mail, access MSDS, access safety manual, procedures, training and a variety of corporate systems. Work closely with immediate supervisor in the performance management process to include the development of personal performance and development plan. + Other Requirements and Responsibilities: Must have good people skills to interact and communicate effectively to internal, external customers, share knowledge with craftsmen and peers including process, building and design engineers, and scheduler planner. This position also requires capability to perform daily work activities with MS Outlook(email), calendar and network data base systems including word document process and spread sheet activities. Ability to work in a multi-craft atmosphere, assist other crafts as needed basis. What Youu2019ll Need: + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driveru2019s License required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders above 8 ft, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Must be comfortable working on ladders, scaffolds, and using lifts. Work may also be required in confined spaces or in hot or extreme cold areas with potential exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals, dangerous processes and machinery and loud noises. + Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. + Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
