The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable. Online-only training is not accepted. Facility Details Orientation:Your first day will be Day of week DATE from 7am-7pm. You will continue orientation TIMES on DATES. Once you are on the unit your shift will be shift of hire. Anne Durant will coordinate with you for your clinical orientation schedule. First Day Instructions:The first day someone from professional development will meet you in the lobby at 7am. Uniform Color / Dress Code:Business casual: scrub pants are okay; scrub tops are discouraged but allowed. Time Keeping:MaxView Timeclock Classroom Size:None Facility Info / Selling Points:We have a cafeteria open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is cash only but there is an ATM. The break room has a fridge, microwave, and Keurig if you prefer to bring your meals (including k-cups). Patient ratios vary depending on the unit and acuity. Baselines exist but are variable. Some units are smaller than others, causing inconsistencies.
