The Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE) plays a key role in ensuring our platforms deliver accurate, compliant, and reliable outcomes for members and clients. The Manager, Testing COE is responsible for executing and enabling quality engineering practices for ACAS (Aetna Claim Adjudication System) benefits testing. This role focuses on handsu2011on quality engineering execution , supporting shiftu2011left testing, automation adoption, and risku2011based testing approaches within assigned programs or domains. Key Responsibilities Quality Engineering Execution & Enablement + Apply quality engineering practices across ACAS benefits testing for assigned initiatives. + Support early validation of requirements, benefit configurations, and adjudication logic to reduce downstream defects. + Ensure quality gates and test readiness criteria are followed within programs. Automation & Modern Testing Support + Support the adoption of automationu2011enabled testing for benefits and claims adjudication scenarios. + Work with automation engineers to leverage existing test frameworks and reusable assets. + Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency through automation and improved test design. Risku2011Based Testing & Defect Analysis + Execute and support risku2011based testing approaches , focusing on highu2011impact benefit and claim scenarios. + Analyze defects to determine root cause, claim exposure, and potential member or client impact . + Escalate highu2011risk findings and trends to senior QE or COE leadership. Team Oversight & Dayu2011tou2011Day Leadership + Manage and support a team of quality engineers and testers (onshore/offshore). + Review test artifacts, execution results, and defect documentation for quality and completeness. + Provide coaching and guidance to strengthen testing rigor and QE skills within the team. Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement + Track and report quality metrics such as defect trends, test coverage, and execution effectiveness. + Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce rework and postu2011release corrections. + Contribute feedback to evolving TCOE standards, templates, and best practices. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement + Collaborate closely with configuration teams, business SMEs, and engineering partners . + Communicate testing outcomes, risks, and defects clearly to project and program stakeholders. + Support audits, validations, and issue resolution activities as needed. Required Qualifications + 5 + years of experience in healthcare technology or operations , with exposure to claims adjudication and benefits configuration. + 2 + years of experience in quality engineering, testing, or QA roles , including team or worku2011stream leadership. + Handsu2011on experience with claims adjudication systems and benefits testing (ACAS or similar platforms). + Experience executing scenariou2011based and risku2011based testing . + Strong analytical and problemu2011solving skills with attention to detail. + Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Preferred Qualifications + Experience with commercial health benefits and claims processing . + Familiarity with ACAS, PERS, or comparable adjudication platforms . + Strong written and verbal communication skills. Education + Bacheloru2019s degree required or equivalent relevant work experience. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $101,970.00 - $203,940.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
