Job Description This is a support role focused almost entirely on commercial furniture troubleshooting, coordination, and inventory. This is not an IT role and not a furniture installation role. The goal is to keep workspaces functional, ergonomic, and professional across a large campus environment. Move and Vendor Coordination u2022u2003Coordinate large furniture moves with approved furniture vendors u2022u2003Serve as the point of contact between internal teams and external vendors u2022u2003Order replacement parts, components, and furniture pieces u2022u2003Understand what can be handled internally versus when to escalate to vendors u2022u2003Coordinate service calls directly with furniture vendors when needed Inventory Management u2022u2003Track and manage inventory including: ou2003Desk panels ou2003Task chairs ou2003Furniture components and spare parts u2022u2003Maintain repository accuracy and visibility u2022u2003Identify reusable furniture and components Ticket and Service Support u2022u2003Respond to and manage service tickets through Maximo u2022u2003Prioritize requests based on urgency and business impact u2022u2003Proactively identify furniture issues that users may not report u2022u2003Provide professional, customer facing support with clear timelines and expectations Furniture Environment u2022u2003Approximately 85 percent Steelcase u2022u2003Additional brands include: ou2003Haworth ou2003Knoll ou2003Herman Miller u2022u2003Vendor partners may include: ou2003PeopleSpace ou2003GMBI or Pivot ou2003Tangram or Bluescape Interiors ou2003Single Source ou2003BKM Experience with commercial furniture diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair is critical. ________________________________________ Lab and Pharma Environment Support u2022u2003Supports pharma and lab environments u2022u2003Lab benches, stools, and chairs require similar diagnostics u2022u2003Issues include leveling, structural bowing, and component wear u2022u2003Familiarity with lab furniture and specialized seating is a plus u2022u2003Must understand ADA, circulation, aesthetics, and ergonomics We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
