Job Summary This position is responsible for pre-visit planning,standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, dischargeinstructions and carries out both administrative and clinical tasks asdirected by a medical provider. This position is instrumental in helpingthe patient feel at ease while collaborating with the providerthroughout the patient's visit. What you will do Room patients, performand document vital signs and patient backgrounds. Coordinate providerschedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient struct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure orcertification. Prepare patients and assist medical providers within-office procedures and prepare and administermedications/immunizations. Maintain exam rooms and equipment to bewithin infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medicalsupplies for each patient room. Education Qualifications Graduate of anapproved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program.Required Experience Qualifications Minimum of 160 hours of directpatient care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional MA/LPNwork experience or completion of student clinical rotations. RequiredCurrent clinical experience as a Medical Assistant Preferred Currentclinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse Preferred Skills andAbilities Knowledge of principles and skills needed for practical nurseor medical assistant to provide patient care Knowledge of medicalequipment and instruments to administer patient care Knowledge of commonsafety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environmentFosters work and patient relationships through excellent interpersonalskills and behaviors. Ability to work under stressful or emergencysituations with high concentration and energy level Ability toprioritize work and meet changing demands. Ability to work in afast-paced environment.
