With limited direction, this position exercises considerable latitude in the planning, development and administration of integrated logistics strategies, processes, and tools. Ensures that customer support requirements and objectives are achieved within budget and on schedule to meet department and corporate goals. Ensures continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as supportability analysis planning and database development processes, product support and replenishment systems, product support data interchange systems, demand management and related functions. Responsible for building relationships with customers through logistics initiatives. This position is responsible for developing Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS) programs and procedures training, overseeing the daily operations of the Global COLTS transactions and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Works with the Army customer, and other internal entities to develop and modify uniform operating procedures for the logistics life cycle management of spares, government furnished equipment, and ground support equipment at various Army operational sites. Develops documentation and reports to reflect department activities. Develop programs and procedures for the training of assigned personnel. May lead a team of less experienced professional staff. Serves as a consultant to management and may represent the company as the primary spokesperson on external projects(s). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Determines logistics strategies and establishes standard logistics processes and tools. + Ensures contract logistics activities are in compliance with standard policies, procedures and processes. + Determines logistics activities for selected projects to develop and implement solutions that account for tradeoffs in component/system design, repair capability, training, demand history, statistical distributions and queuing theory. + Develops logistics analysis products. + Also develops technical manuals, provisioning data and obsolescence screening. + Manage and actively participate in all phases of logistics solutions training from conceptualization through completion, including planning, developing and delivering technical training to ensure quality and business objectives are attained. + Develops and administers course curriculum and student examinations for both Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS) and Remote Frequency Identification (RFID); continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and keeps technical information up to date. + Work collaboratively in a matrixed environment with other staff, peers, and/or management in support of customer driven requirements. + Develops innovative solutions to unusually complex logistics issues to optimize costs and system performance requirements. + Contributes to the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s). + Take active leadership role in supply chain management, acting as a SME and POC incorporating supply chain management practices and methodologies within the GA-ASI Army organization using COLTS, and other databases. + Supports and coordinates subcontractor-relevant operational aspects of one or more programs; serves as a liaison between the program management office and subcontractor, supports material project managers, and supply chain functions regarding operational and schedule targets or concerns. + Ensure compliance with environmental and other regulations. + Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. + Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. + Performs other duties as assigned or required. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. + Five plus yearsu2019 experience in Catalog Ordering Tracking System (COLTS) usage in direct relation to Army Aviation sustainment. + Must have a minimum of 3 yearsu2019 experience developing COLTS training. + Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of logistics management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and deadlines. + Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings to a variety of audiences including senior management and senior external parties. + Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees; (5) the ability to effectively and efficiently initiate, plan, and manage projects + Ability to represent the company on external projects + Excellent computer and documentation skills. + Must be able to work extended hours.
