About the Role As a CBRE Plumber, you will support a large, regulated life sciences R&D environment,ensuring the reliable operation of critical plumbing and mechanical systemsthat support laboratory, research, and development activities. You will performpreventive maintenance, repairs, testing, installation, and troubleshootingacross domestic water, sanitary, process piping, and specialty lab utilitysystems. This role is part of CBREu2019s Engineering and TechnicalServices function, where precision, compliance, and system reliability areessential to maintaining safe, controlled laboratory operations. The idealcandidate understands the importance of working within GMPu2011influenced, clean,and missionu2011critical spaces, following strict safety, documentation, and changeu2011controlprocedures. The position is based at a modern R&D campus offering freeparking and is conveniently located within walking distance of an MBTA station,providing an accessible and commuteru2011friendly work environment. Day Shift M-F 7:00AM -3:00PM What Youu2019ll Do: + Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system. + Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. + Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumberu2019s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer. + Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations. + Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices. + Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair. + Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed. + Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed. + Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements. + Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc. + Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management. What Youu2019ll Need: + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driveru2019s License required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. + Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. + Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
