As a Senior Water Treatment Engineer (Drinking Water & Reuse) you will lead process design and optimization for drinking water and reuse facilities that protect communities, strengthen resilience, and advance sustainable water supply.What youu2019ll do Lead process evaluation, design, and optimization for drinking water and reuse treatment systems (UF/MF, NF/RO, GAC/IX, UV/AOP, conventional processes). Plan and oversee pilots, bench testing, and data analysis; translate findings into basis of design, P&IDs, and process narratives. Guide commissioning/startup, troubleshoot operations, and support digital tools to improve performance and reliability. Develop technical specifications, equipment selection, and submittal reviews with strong QA/QC rigor. Partner directly with clients on workshops, planning, and facility master planning; present options and recommendations clearly. Mentor and develop junior engineers; foster a collaborative, highu2011performance team culture. Contribute to proposals, scopes, and fee development; support pursuits and thought leadership (AWWA/WEF/FWEA). Coordinate across multiu2011disciplinary teams (civil, structural, electrical, I&C) to deliver integrated solutions. B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (M.S. preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) u2014 Florida PE. 15+ years in municipal water/wastewater process engineering, with emphasis on drinking water and/or reuse. Handsu2011on experience with membrane treatment (UF/MF, NF/RO) and at least one of: PFAS removal, GAC/IX, UV/AOP, advanced disinfection/oxidation, or conventional treatment. Clientu2011facing communication skills and a track record of delivering quality design documentation.Ideally, youu2019ll also have Experience with potable reuse (indirect or direct) or alternative water supplies. Project management exposure (PMP or formal PM training a plus). Publications/presentations (AWWA/WEF/FWEA) and participation in professional societies. Familiarity with process modeling, data analytics, and/or digital twins. Working knowledge of Florida codes/regulatory context.Work/Travel Hybrid in Naples, FL.
