Designer II Electrical

PositionSynopsis:DesignerII,EICwillberesponsibletounderstandanddevelop wiring diagrams, connection diagrams, one-line/three-line diagrams, schematic/elementary diagrams, logic diagrams and conduit/raceway diagrams.Designer II, EICwill have the ability to produce complex D engineering drawings. Individual will be responsible to check drawings for accuracy including dimensions, spelling, drafting standards and completeness utilizing correct project design criteria. Participation in field walk downs as necessary, to obtain measurements, verify as-built documentation, and develop field sketches in support of plant modifications and design installations will occasionally be required. Position requires the individual to exercise independent judgment to develop designs with minimal direction from Design Supervisor, Design Lead or Engineering and will concurrently support multiple projects. Individual will need to communicate with project engineers and other disciplines to develop drawingsand resolve design discrepancies. The ability to interface with the customer and their construction representatives to integrate designs to satisfy their standards isa must for this position.EducationRequired(minimum):Associates degreeindrafting,designor engineering technology or years of equivalent experience in the design of electrical and controls systems. ExperienceRequired(minimum):Musthaveyears(minimum)ofexperienceinengineering drafting and electrical design practices in addition to the education requirements.
