Cake Junior Production Assistant

The Cake Cone Junior Production Assistant is responsible for the operation of an assigned production area or production line(s) to the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.Provide support to the production floor and act in a leadership capacity through a demonstrated knowledge/proficiency of all associated positionsCoach new and current employees on company policies and standard operating proceduresEnforce Joy Cone’s GMP and Safety PoliciesConduct production, sanitation, and quality checks per procedure, report deviations to management as they occur, and take appropriate corrective actionPrioritize work responsibilities within assigned work areaAttend safety, food safety, sanitation, and/or leadership trainings as offered/assigned by supervisorIdentify and accurately report defective materials, food safety hazards, and potential product contaminantsAssist in the installation and commissioning of new equipmentOther duties as assigned by supervisorMust be able to properly prioritize work responsibilities within assigned work areaExcellent attendance required, which includes expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absencesMust attend safety, food safety, sanitation, and/or leadership trainings as offered/assigned by supervisorIdentify and accurately report defective materials, food safety hazards, and potential product contaminantsAble to complete 800-hour preventative maintenance on cake cone Turnbull OvensAbility to read, analyze and follow directionsMust be able to speak, listen and openly communicate with team members and actively participate in team meetingsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw a valid conclusionAble to operate fork-lift/lift equipmentAble to safely lift up to 75 poundsStoop, kneel, climb or squat on an occasional basisPossess manual dexterity & use hands to grip, pinch, handle, reach, or feel on a frequent basisStand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basisAble to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per dayMust be able to work in a scissor lift at elevated heights occasionallyMust have demonstrated a good work record and attendanceMust be signed off to pack a minimum number of cake cone packsMust be a fill-in junior production assistant currentlyStarting from USD $28.97/Hr.
