The Head Machinist will be responsible for programming, set-up and monitoring lathe machines to customer specifications. This role is located in Roseville, Michigan and will be fully on-site.Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hourSchedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pmPay Schedule: Bi-weeklyHead Machinist Responsibilities:Responsible for setup of all bar fed production lathes and chucking lathesWrites all programs for lathe departmentPurchases/Modifies tooling required for specific jobs as neededSchedules all orders on Lathes to achieve on-time deliveryMaintains the department’s machinery and toolingSetup, calibrate, and use analog & digital inspection instruments.Monitors quality of products machined on all lathesSchedules the saw department for production bars to meet scheduleCollaborates with Mill Department for secondary operations, as neededOther duties as assignedHead Machinist Qualifications:Associates degree or work experience equivalentExperience machining or a technical tradeAble to work with minimum supervisionAbility to follow verbal & written instructionsAbility to perform computationsAbility to work independentlyAbility to make work-related decisions based on deadlines and customer specificationsAbility to read and understand blueprints, CAD software and setup specs for production including toolingJoining Wieland’s team gives you…Benefits - Including Medical, Disability, Life & more!Work/Life Balance- Paid Vacation & Holidays.Growth Opportunities - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
