The Insurance Specialist will play a critical role in servicing and processing transactions for the Bank’s loans where insurance coverage is required. The Specialist has contact with customers, agents and frequent contact with other employees in all lines of business within the Bank and acts as the main point of contact on insurance and coverage requirements.Contacts agents and customers to obtain current insurance policy information as needed to prevent lender placed insuranceEnsures data accuracy in system of record as related to collateral and insurance requirementsCalculates and validates adequate insurance coverage requirementsEnsures that loans and insurance comply with all related bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsCollaborates with the Centralized Flood team to resolve flood zone disputes as related to lender place insuranceCommunicates with lenders, credit partners, and customers to ensure proper coverage exists to protect the bankProvides on-going support to customers and lending staff as needed for insurance questionsMonitors shared inbox and insurance queue to process insurance submissions in a timely mannerResponsible for the tracking and daily monitoring of vendor reports for all consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan insurance activityReviews and validates the timeliness and accuracy of lender placed insurance policiesAssists with processing and reconciling weekly lender placed insurance premiums and refundsAssist relationship managers on insurance due diligence items in a timely and accurate mannerParticipates in all required compliance training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, or other education events as assigned by Loan Ops and Bank leadershipAdheres to Corporate and Loan Operations policies and procedures as prescribedExemplify behaviors in alignment with the bank’s vision, mission, and culture; exhibit professionalism at all timesProvide world-class service to internal and external clients with a sense of urgency and positive attitudeDemonstrates exceptional organization and time management skills and ability to balance competing priorities to meet multiple deadlinesHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperience with retail and commercial lending regulations and policies2 or more years’ experience related to loan documentation, due diligence, and processingProficient knowledge of regulatory insurance requirements; particularly flood insurance in accordance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA)Knowledge and understanding of insurance policies and the various types of coverageMust be able to pass a criminal background & credit checkThis is a full-time, non-remote positionFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReady to take your career to the next level?
