Reporting to the Medical Staff Services Manager, the successful candidate will act as a liaison between the SHC Credentialing Verification Office (CVO) and the SHCNC Medical Staff Office, supporting the credentialing and privileging application process.This position is full time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $31.11 - $43.92/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.Initiate requests for credentialing and privileges to CVO, including but not limited to appointments, re-appointments, status changes, LOAs and other updates.Receives and evaluates the credential file from the CVO and coordinates the approval process per the Medical Staff BylawsCoordinates and collaborates with the residency program directors, medical schools and others to facilitate Fellow / Resident/ Student/ Observer rotations.Serves as a resource to and collaborates with the President of the Medical Staff, Chiefs of Staff, the Medical Committee of the Board of Governors, hospital administration, and individual members of the SHCNC medical staff.Facilitation and execution of the on and off boarding and orientation of all providers, and provide necessary information to the CVO.Generates queries and reports from credentialing and privileging database as requested.Note: This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.RequiredHigh School diploma or GEDPreferredAssociates degree in Medical Staff ServicesCertified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)Three years in Medical Staff services and/or five years in hospital experienceKnowledge of accreditation and certification requirements
