This role is for experienced fabricators who take ownership of layout, fit-up, and final quality. You’ll work directly from structural and industrial steel prints, make judgment calls on the floor, and fabricate assemblies with minimal supervision. If you’re comfortable being accountable for accuracy from print to finished product, this will feel like home.Structural Steel Fabricator Benefits and Compensation:$25-$31/hourDay shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-FridayHealth & Dental InsurancePaid Time OffPPE reimbursementPaid training opportunities for advancementStable, long-term opportunity in a safety-driven shopStructural Steel Fabricator Requirements & Qualifications:4 years of structural or industrial steel fabrication experienceDemonstrated ability to fabricate directly from paper prints (36x24) without step-by-step directionStrong command of fabrication layout, fit-up, and dimensional verificationProficiency with FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW processesAbility to read and apply AWS weld symbols, bolt callouts, elevations, and connection detailsConsistent self-inspection and quality accountabilityValid driver’s licenseWelding certification (or willingness to obtain)OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain)Must haves:Independently lay out beams, plates, and structural connections from printsVerify dimensions and identify print conflicts before weldingMake real-time decisions on fit-up, sequence, and weld approachMark up or redline drawings to reflect corrections or clarificationsPerform structural welding, grinding, finishing, and paint assist as neededSafely handle material using cranes, hoists, and forkliftsMaintain a disciplined, safety-first work areaStructural Steel Fabricator Preferred Background & Skills:Structural steel shop experience with complex assembliesComfort working from architectural drawings converted to steel fabrication printsExperience with flame cutting and material prepStrong judgment on when something is “technically acceptable” vs. “actually right”Steady work history with a production-focused mindset
