Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic $30 - $45/hr based on experience Job Description Join our team as a Sheet Metal Mechanic where you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of aircraft structures. You will work with a variety of aircraft, including Bell helicopters and Airbus, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities + Understand and execute maintenance procedures and requirements. + Possess a working knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems. + Read and comprehend blueprints, aircraft drawings, maintenance manuals, and installation manuals. + Build and repair sheet metal structures according to aircraft maintenance manuals or blueprints. + Construct and repair composite structures. + Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of aircraft panels. + Install kits as per instructions. + Build items according to drawings and manuals. + Repair aircraft parts using sheet metal or composite materials. + Inspect items for serviceability. + Assist other departments as required. + Participate in road trips as required. + Ensure all tags are properly filled out and attached to respective parts. Essential Skills + Complete understanding of maintenance procedures and requirements. + Working knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems. + Ability to read and understand blueprints and aircraft drawings/maintenance manuals, and installation manuals. + Skill in building and/or repairing sheet metal structures and composites. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent required. + 3-5 years of sheet metal experience is a plus. + Composite experience is a plus. + Attention to detail is a must. + Reliability is essential.
