Job Title: Entry Level Cell & Gene Therapy Associate Job Description The Cell & Gene Therapy Associate will assist in clean room qualifications, manage supplies and materials for clean room operations, and perform aseptic gowning to enter and work in clean room environments. The role involves processing cells and samples, including cultures, cryopreservation, and manipulation of cell products using aseptic techniques. Previous experience in GMP practices and adherence to SOPs is essential. This position will be based in clinical manufacturing labs. Responsibilities + Assist in clean room qualification by helping to burden clean rooms for testing. + Run supplies and materials as needed for clean room operation and processing. + Aseptically gown to enter clean room and assist with qualifications. + Work within manufacturing to process cells and samples. + Process cultures, cryopreserve, and manipulate cell products using aseptic techniques. + Perform any processing and testing required to produce and assess safe and efficacious products. + Support clinical trials and work with batch records, cell expansions, volume reductions, depletions, and enrichments. Essential Skills + Experience in a biology lab, either academic or industry. + Proficiency in aseptic techniques. + Familiarity with GMP practices. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Effective communication skills within a team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associates or Bachelor's degree in biology or related scientific field is a plus. + Experience in cell-based biology lab environments. + Ability to work flexibly on shifts, including weekends. + Experience in stem cell preparation and cell/tissue culture. Work Environment The role is based in a clinical manufacturing lab, reporting to Operations Managers and part of a large team of operators. Training will be provided extensively in aseptic gowning for clean room work. Initial training occurs Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm for the first 2-3 months. Flexibility is required for shifts, which may include working Saturdays and Sundays, with potential shift times extending as late as 2:30am. The work schedule includes four ten-hour shifts once permanent, specifically Thursday-Friday and Sunday-Monday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.78 - $29.78/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
