Accounting Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Mansfield, Massachusetts. In this Contract to permanent position, you will support the Accounts Payable function and contribute to various administrative and accounting tasks. Responsibilities: u2022 Answer and manage incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency. u2022 Welcome guests warmly and ensure they are assisted in a friendly and hospitable manner. u2022 Organize and distribute incoming mail and packages appropriately. u2022 Enter accounts payable data accurately into the system to support financial operations. u2022 Assist the Accounting Department with general tasks, including invoice coding and account reconciliation. u2022 Perform check runs and handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment processes. u2022 Utilize Dynamics GP and excel tools, including pivot tables, to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Execute additional clerical responsibilities related to accounting as needed. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in Accounts Payable processes, including invoice coding and account reconciliation. u2022 Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment methods and check runs. u2022 Proficiency in Dynamics GP and advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables. u2022 Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. u2022 Excellent communication skills for handling calls and interacting with guests professionally. u2022 Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial operations. u2022 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
