To support this, Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative people leader to serve as a Senior Manager of Program Management for WW WHS. In this role, you will lead a team of program managers to deliver large-scale, high-capex safety projects that create measurable improvements in workplace safety and build a world-class safety culture for Amazon. This role will focus on leading the execution of multi-year, capital-intensive safety projects that span multiple Amazon Business Units (BUs) and geographies across North America and Europe. You will partner with Operations Engineering teams, Operations leadership, Procurement, Finance, and WHS stakeholders to deploy solutions such as automated truck unloading systems, adjustable height workstations, and cart redesigns. Your team will be responsible for delivering these projects on time, within budget, and to their full safety entitlement. This Senior Manager will report to the Director of WHS Central Programs and work collaboratively across all Amazon BUs in NA and EU to deliver innovative safety solutions across our business. This position requires travel up to approximately 20% for critical site deployments and cross-site meetings. Key job responsibilities Program Delivery & Execution u2022 Lead a team of program managers to deliver large-scale, multi-year safety projects with budgets ranging from $5M to $30M in capex u2022 Ensure projects deliver their planned safety entitlement on time and within budget across all Amazon business units u2022 Drive execution excellence through rigorous project management standards, milestone tracking, and stakeholder alignment Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Leadership u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with Operations leadership to ensure successful project adoption and sustained safety improvements u2022 Work cross-functionally with Operations Engineering teams, Safety Engineering, Launch, Finance, and WHS teams to deploy solutions at scale u2022 Influence to drive alignment across multiple business units and geographies with competing priorities Team Leadership & Capability Building u2022 Develop and coach a geographically distributed team of program managers to deliver complex, high-impact projects u2022 Establish clear accountability, performance standards, and career development pathways for team members u2022 Build program management capability and best practices across the team to improve delivery success rates Performance Management & Reporting u2022 Track and report on project delivery metrics including on-time delivery rate, capex plan adherence, and safety entitlement achievement u2022 Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and mitigation plans u2022 Identify and escalate at-risk projects with clear mitigation strategies About the team Our team is dedicated to engineering risk out of Amazon's fulfillment centers through innovative program delivery. We execute large-scale safety projects across Amazon, working across multiple business units to implement solutions that protect our employees while maintaining operational excellence. The team's mission focuses on delivering high-impact safety improvements through capital investments in automation, ergonomic solutions, and process improvements. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
