Sr. Accountant

Description My client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a variety of financial operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and organizational skills who can oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, and payroll processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and company policies. u2022 Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes. u2022 Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including detailed variance and flux analyses. u2022 Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures to maintain accuracy and completeness. u2022 Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain supporting schedules to ensure data integrity. u2022 Manage daily cash operations, including cash applications and payment processing for checks and wire transfers. u2022 Complete bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and monthly inventory count reconciliations. u2022 Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and disclosures. u2022 Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate completion. u2022 Verify payroll accruals, benefit payments, and ensure timely submission of payroll reports. Requirements Senior Accountants for this role should have a Bachelor's in Accounting with 3+ years of experience in Accounting. u2022 Eexperience in month-end close processes and financial reporting. u2022 Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and performing account reconciliations. u2022 Strong knowledge of journal entries and accruals. u2022 Experience in bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions. u2022 Solid understanding of tax compliance for federal, state, and local regulations. u2022 Familiarity with payroll operations, including payroll reporting and benefit payments. u2022 Ability to analyze financial data and generate variance and flux analyses.
