Job Description: This Pre-Registration 1 Bilingual is responsible for assisting patients with pre-registering for upcoming appointments, surgeries or procedures, with focus on non-English speaking patients to which they are certified to assist. They are responsible for gathering important information from patients, verifying insurance coverage, and providing financial transparency in a timely manner. By working remotely in a call center setting, these specialists can efficiently assist patients over the phone, providing a convenient and accessible way for patients to prepare for their medical appointments. Their main purpose is to streamline the registration process, reduce wait times and ensure a smooth and seamless experience for patients before they arrive at a hospital. Essential Functions u2022 Demonstrates complete understanding and ability to apply registration policies and procedures. u2022 Verifies medical insurance eligibility and benefits. u2022 Identifies and explains co-insurance, co-pay and OOP (out of pocket) patient responsibilities. u2022 Provides cost estimates to patients, and collects payments. u2022 Collaborate with other team members to ensure patient satisfaction, by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing. u2022 Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time effectively. u2022 Be responsible for meeting productivity and call center quality measures. u2022 Excellent computer skills with the expectation to self-resolve technical issues with minimal assistance. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use. u2022 Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
