Penn Medicine has an immediate opportunity for an Interventional Technologist at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia Summary: + The IR technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic special studies to patients, both body IR and Neuro IR, and assists the Radiologists with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Responsibilities: + Performs a wide variety of interventional procedures and must be familiar with new techniques as they become available Operates imaging system for IR proceduresFollows Sterile TechniqueConsults with referring docs and obtains clinical historyFills injector with contrast mediaPrepares supplies and patient using aseptic techniqueEnsures area is clean orderly with appropriate supplies to perform proceduresPractices proper radiation protectionMaintains equipment and reports and problems to lead tech Credentials: + ARRT Registered (Required) + Must exhibit proficiency in special studies and procedures with good people and organizational skills (Required) + Must effectively analyze problems, identify patient customer needs and display attention to detail in a team oriented Orientated manner (Required) Education or Equivalent Experience: + H.S.
