Job Title: Substation Construction Manager Job sites are in primarily in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Virginia. Per Diem is available. Job Description This role involves managing substation construction projects primarily in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Virginia. The projects support data centers and traditional substation work, typically lasting about a year. Successful candidates may have opportunities for continued work over multiple years, given the substantial project backlog. Responsibilities + Drive subcontractor performance and ensure quality standards are met. + Lead subcontractor crews in building substations. + Manage overall production and quality of the job and crew(s). + Oversee a team of upwards of 25 people at a time. + Ensure construction subcontractors execute work in compliance with safety, quality, contract, and schedule requirements. + Facilitate proper communication with project team and stakeholders, including standardized reporting and conducting construction meetings. Essential Skills + Substation Construction Management experience + Distribution Construction Management experience + Proficiency in electrical distribution, power delivery, and construction documentation + Quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) expertise + Strong computer and reporting skills Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Entergy projects + Construction and project management skills + Transmission and safety experience + 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred Work Environment This project is slated to last over 2+ years. The role requires fieldwork pushing and coordinating subcontractor crews. Work hours are generally over 50 hours per week, with 10-hour workdays for five days a week. The position offers standard per diem, time and half with a 50-hour base work week, and holidays and PTO are provided. There is a growing footprint with utilities, ensuring future project opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
