JOB REQUIREMENTS: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide ongoingpsychiatric evaluations of CSP participants after initial evaluation bythe program Psychiatrist Complete initial intake for TCM/CCMparticipants and then provide ongoing psychiatric evaluation Prescribemedications and provide ongoing assertive medication managementPragmatically evaluates options and decides upon treatment course thatwill optimize safety and community success within situational limitsAttend and participate in routine staffings with the Psychiatrist,nurses, supervisors, case managers, and other members of the CSP andTCM/CCMtreatment team while incorporating staff input regardingobservations of participant behaviors and capabilities to assist withmedication prescription Conduct clinical consultations on an as neededbasis and participate in planned interventions Participate in treatmentplanning for participants as needed Document or dictate results ofevaluations in a timely manner Order lab work, testing, or otherprocedures as needed Exhibit knowledge of evidence-based practices suchas motivational interviewing and trauma informed care Assist with somenursing duties as needed First shift work (8am-4pm), but position hasflexible hours based on availability; Thursdays are required Otherjob-related duties that may be necessary to carry out theresponsibilities of the position OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Job Qualifications: Required Qualifications PossessChapter N 8 Certification to practice as an Advanced Practice NursePrescriber and registration as a Registered Nurse Completion ofcontinuing education training as required by the board of nursingPsychiatric background is required No convictions or license revocationsthat would fail a caregiver background check Sufficient malpracticeinsurance to meet agency requirements Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesGood clinical skills, especially related to mental health, medicalissues, and substance use disorders Knowledge of DSM V, psychotropicmedications, and their side effects Ability to communicate and workeffectively in a positive manner with a diverse population of staff andparticipants Ability to respond appropriately in crisis situations,including de-escalation Demonstrate cultural sensitivity,professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills while representing theagency both internally and externally Ability to manage change, thinkcritically, and be solution-oriented when dealing with situations asthey arise in a fast-paced environment Good organizational, dictation,and computer/typing skills Effective time management skills and theability to multitask to meet various deadlines Commitment to the APNProle and the participants we serve Ability to set professionalboundaries with ethics and integrity Work as a team member whoparticipates productively while also managing independent duties andresponsibilities Sense of humor pm21 Other Job Information (ifapplicable): PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position is based in an office settingwith minimal driving in the community for home visits with participants;must be able to go up and down stairs and lift/carry 20 pounds; most ofthe work is done sitting at a desk while assessing participants, butsome mobility within the office is needed.
