The Work As a key member of our Software Engineering team, you will: u2022 Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities. u2022 Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that solves business/mission problems using logical and mathematical methods. u2022 Apply established standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. u2022 Translate high level requirements into detailed software specifications and design documents. u2022 Design, code, and unit test C/C++ components for real time or safety critical applications. u2022 Develop and execute test plans (unit, integration, system verification) and record results. u2022 Participate in all SDLC phases: requirements analysis, architecture/design, implementation, integration, verification, and hand off to production. u2022 Identify and correct program errors; create clear operating instructions and comprehensive development documentation. u2022 Analyze system capabilities to clarify program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. u2022 Ensure all software deliverables meet required quality and compliance standards. This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen and has the ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree and 3 or more years of software engineering experience. u2022 Experience with C/C++ for real time or safety critical systems. u2022 Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl. u2022 Proven experience using Git (branching, merging, pull request workflow) and GitLab for source code management, pipeline creation, and CI/CD of builds and automated tests. u2022 Ability to produce detailed specifications, design documents, and test documentation. u2022 Familiarity with version control best practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery processes. Desired Skills: u2022 Hands on experience in Scrum or Kanban environments; daily use of Jira, Confluence, and GitLab issue boards for sprint planning, backlog grooming, and status reporting u2022 Unix/Linux experience, as applied to Software Development. u2022 Experience debugging and sustaining software intended to run on multi-process/multi-threaded systems. u2022 Development or integration of simulation software (e.g., flight dynamics, sensor models) with emphasis on C/C++ code and scripted simulation environments u2022 Experience with Avionics, Electronic Warfare (EW), or Operational Flight Programs (OFPs) u2013 either on actual hardware or in a simulated environment u2013 demonstrating familiarity with aerospace data buses (ARINC, MIL STD 1553, CAN, Ethernet/IP) and timing constraints u2022 Experience with automated compilation, static analysis (e.g., Coverity, SonarQube), unit test execution, and deployment to HIL or simulation targets u2022 Experience developing scripts for build/test orchestration, data collection, and result analysis; creation of custom utilities to support developers and testers u2022 Active Secret Security clearance or higher. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
