As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you administer various human resources management programs (recruitment, selection, compensation, classification, and organizational development). Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.This position:Screens applications, daily, for minimum qualifications and refers qualified applications to hiring manager.Maintains CAPPS recruit to ensure all applicants and candidates are moved through the hiring process.Maintains HR electronic posting files and extends offers of employment.Works with program areas to prepare and revise job descriptions, job postings and conduct job analysis.Performs recruitment activities for posted positions using search engines such as Indeed, LinkedIn or other social media platforms.Reviews and tracks performance evaluations.Processes personnel actions and requisition forms.Reconciles data between various databases.Provides advice to employees and management on human resource issues, rules, and policies related to human resource management, including handling complex issues.Assists with separation meetings and calculates leave and benefits for employees.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications: This position requires:Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in business, public administration, human resource management, management or in a field relative to assignment.Three years of experience in human resources including recruitment, screening, onboarding new hires, or customer service in a human resources environment.Note substitution language:Education and experience relevant to position requirements may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.Additional job details:This position requires regular work attendance. The position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. If eligible, the employee must have a secure, dedicated workspace with reliable broadband internet service. The ideal candidate must be available for weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other applications during regular business hours.Preferences for this position include: xperience screening applications or extending offers of employment.Experience with onboarding new hires.Proficiency with CAPPS Recruit, Oracle and/or Peoplesoft.Experience with electronic filing, record keeping, administrative experience.Experience SharePoint or web content management system.Recent (within the last 2 years) experience with Microsoft Office Suite.This position requires demonstrated knowledge of:State laws, rules, procedures, and regulations relevant to job requirements.The principles and practices of human resource management.Personal computers and related software.Human resource programs such as employment, compensation, and classification.This position requires demonstrated skill in:Problem solving and critical thinking.Using Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.Using personal computers sufficient to enter and extract data from related systems and programs such as Centralized Accounting Payroll and Personnel (CAPPS) and other systems required to perform the municating information both verbally and in writing.The use of computer software to enter and extract data from related systems and programs including Microsoft office suite, HRIS databases and tracking systems.This position requires the demonstrated ability to:Communicate and work effectively with a wide range of people with varied skills, knowledge, and backgrounds.Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.Analyze and solve work-related problems and work independently on a variety of administrative work and technical assignments.Manage and coordinate multiple tasks and priorities to meet necessary deadlines.Work both independently and as a team player.Gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts to devise solutions to problems.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, team members, and agency employees.Military Employment PreferenceGet help translating your military work experience and training courses into civilian job terms, qualifications/requirements, and skill sets.
