Description: Join Our Team as an ASIC & FPGA Engineering Manager where you will support over 50 different programs and research and development (R&D) efforts, affecting technology across military space, civil space, commercial space, missiles, missile defense platforms, satellite surveillance platforms, deep space exploration, and manned flight missions. We are building the best ASIC/FPGA team in the world at Lockheed Martin Spaceu2019s in our Silicon Solutions team and seeking a Technical Lead who excels in multiple skill areas: soft/people leadership, project planning and technical. You will leverage your background in ASIC or FPGA development and/or verification and take ownership of project execution and delivery. - - - Key activities you will accomplish in this role: u2022 Manage several projects at one time, being able to effectively delegate both technical and project responsibilities within your team to manage the load. u2022 Be responsible for managing to completion all assigned projects to within +/- 10% of schedule and budget, leveraging either or both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate u2022 Be familiar with Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS) to communicate effectively with programu2019s / customeru2019s Control Accounts Manager (CAM). u2022 Actively develop and manage customer / program relationships, establishing your role as a u2018trusted advisoru2019 and communicating tactfully and effectively with customers / programs. u2022 Capture and negotiate project/program scope, requirements and budgets. u2022 Write proposals with business and technical content and summarize it in customer / program presentations. u2022 Manage subcontractor relationships and contracts for Silicon Solutions. u2022 Assist in the development of processes related to customer, contractor and business engagements. - - - To be effective in this role, you will need: u2022 Understand complex and modern ASIC / FPGA / SOC design and verification considerations and methods. u2022 Develop and maintain good relationships with peer organizations and be able to effectively interface with either hardware or software teams. u2022 Apply sound business acumen to technical proposals and solutions. u2022 Identify and recruit top talent, ensuring the team is staffed appropriately with architects, designers, DSP specialists and verifiers. u2022 Apply situational leadership toward engineering and behavioral discipline within the team. u2022 Provide project management mentorship to technical leads. u2022 Communicate concisely and correctly. u2022 14+ years professional experience. u2022 While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related discipline u2022 Experience in design, debug and/or verification of ASICs or FPGAs u2022 Experience in leading or managing ASIC or FPGA projects Desired Skills: u2022 4+ yearsu2019 experience in design, debug and/or verification of ASICs or FPGAs u2022 Experience being a Control Accounts Manager (CAM) using Earned Value Management System (EVMS). u2022 Customer-facing experience (product/services sales, marketing, field, etc.). u2022 Microsoft Project or equivalent. u2022 Microsoft Office. u2022 Atlassian JIRA or equivalent. u2022 PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar. u2022 AMD / Xilinx Versal experience strongly preferred. u2022 System design experience. u2022 RF or Digital Signal Processing (DSP) experience. u2022 Understanding of system and hardware requirements related to space. u2022 Previous people management experience. u2022 Masters of Business Administration. u2022 Demonstrated self-starter and voracious learner with high EQ. - - - Why Lockheed Martin? Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $145,200 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $167,000 - $289,340. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
