Equipment Manager

Bella Ridge Golf Club is seeking an Equipment Manager Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. Pay Range:$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year depending on experience General Purpose:Oversee and train staff, serving as the acting facility leader in the absence of the superintendent and assistant superintendent, managing assigned projects and coordinating contractors, and maintaining high standards for shop organization, cleanliness, and equipment care. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:1-3 years of mechanic experienceKnowledge of small engine repair or automotiveMust have excellent mechanical and problem-solving skillsWe will train the right candidate if they have no reel grinding skillsKnowledge of hydraulic systemsMust be highly motivated, goal-driven, and a self-starterMust be able to work alongside an assistant mechanicResponsibilities:Maintain a working knowledge of agronomy programs and schedule of eventsOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot components such as pressure relief and reduction valves, pumps, filtration equipment, pump motors/drives, and communication systems associated with the water delivery for the propertyMaintain a preventative maintenance program on all equipment, purchase repair parts and replacement supplies; place orders for parts/supplies as needed for equipment or service and track expenses and inventories for budget purposesInspect, adjust, diagnose and repair mechanical defects in many types of golf course maintenance equipmentPerform mower grinding/sharpening and general overhaul of motors, reels; install and adjust braking systemsPerform machining or welding work in making fittings used in repair of maintenance equipmentMaintain records of preventative maintenance, repairs made, and parts orderedMaintain up-to-date working knowledge of light and heavy construction and maintenance equipment and automotive apparatusDiagnose mechanical troubles and schedule appropriate preventative maintenance workFollow sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possibleHelp to control costs and expenses in the maintenance of the equipment fleet relating to parts purchases, inventory levels, service work, fuel inventories and related itemsAid the ongoing hiring, training, and coaching of staffAid the course lead in the proper winterization of the golf courseManage seasonal staff during the absence of the Superintendent and Assistant SuperintendentManage department members that may include but are not limited to: Assistant Mechanic(s), greenskeepers, and equipment operatorsIncorporate safe work practices in job performancePerform other duties as requiredWorking Conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and armsThe employee is often required to stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for hours at a time without sittingThe employee frequently is required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, crawl, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controlsThe employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbsModerate exposure to all working elementsSpecific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perceptionNoise level is typically loudThe employee will be expected to work extended hours during golf and holiday seasonThe employee will be expected to work weekends and holidaysBenefits for Qualified Associates:MedicalDentalVisionPTO401(k)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
