The Provider Contract Associate is responsible for theaccurate and timely administration of contract activity, and works withprospective and current providers to develop positive relationships. Inaddition to handling standard professional contract agreements (i.e. newprovider intake applications, standard clinic contracts, and updaterates for Critical Access Hospital/Rural Health Center/FederallyQualified Health Care providers), this position may provide projectmanagement for the annual ancillary network assessment process andclosed network assessment process. The processes performed in theNetwork Management department are fundamental to deliveringcost-effective, accessible care to subscribers. Since unit cost is oneof the principal drivers of organizational profitability, closecollaboration with other departments is required. The incumbent isrequired to identify and cultivate provider relationships. Performsother duties as assigned. Key Accountabilities Contracting Primarycontact with providers within standard networks Successfully assist indeveloping, implement and execute contracts with low complexityParticipate in standard renewal (i.e. SNF and DME) and ongoing providerrelationship activities Implementation of updated rates for CriticalAccess Hospital/Rural Health Center/Federally Qualified Health Careproviders Ensure contracts are completed in a timely and accuratefashion Provider Relations Develop and maintain positive workingrelationships current and prospective providers, resolve contract issuesthat emerge around the relationship from either the providers' orMedica's perspective Department Activities Comply with department andcompany-wide policies & procedures and training requirements Follow andRecommend P&P changes where gaps exist May participate incross-functional department workgroups as assigned RequiredQualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Financeor equivalent experience in related field Skills and Abilities A proventrack record of cultivating and maintaining effective, collaborativeinternal and external relationships Some knowledge of provider...
